Bob Hicok

Born Grand Ledge Michigan, 1960. Lived in Michigan my whole life except for two years in Dayton Ohio at 9 and now I'm in Virginia. Middle of seven kids. Usual problems with acne and fitting in. Math and science student through high school, experimental schools most of the way, including college, though I didn't get a degree. Meaning I was left alone for most of my education. Switched to liberal arts in college, where I started writing. After college, became an automotive die designer. A die is something that stamps out metal parts, in my case, car parts. Wrote while I did this, started publishing at thirty, don't know how much of that stuff you want to know. Love worked for awhile with different women and then didn't, some 2/3 year relationships, now I've been with Eve for 14 years. I don't like shoveling snow though I do like washing dishes and mowing lawns.

Print + web designer living in Seattle, Washington. Currently working in Gabe Kean's studio. Always looking for freelance work. When I'm not designing, I'm probably outside in the great Pacific Northwest weather. Lived all over the country, and Germany as well. Looking to go to grad school within the next few years, so I can get my MFA in design. I want to teach + freelance further on in my career, as well as art direct. I enjoy indie movies, live shows, and the vibrant arts community that is Seattle.
