Subcommunication team:

Sébastien Théraulaz
After a short stint at the Université de Lausanne in his native Switzerland, Théraulaz enrolled in the Art Center College of Design (Europe), later completing his studies at their campus in Pasadena, California. In 1997 he set up shop in Montreal and quickly found work with TV productions and for a host of different media agencies. The growing demand for contracts led him to found Sub Communications in 1999. His versatility as a designer, illustrator and director has made the company a prized resource in Montreal's media community. At present, Théraulaz is working on a new family of typographies.

Valérie Desrochers
After receiving her diploma (and an award for excellence) in graphic design from the Collège de Sherbrooke, she made her way to Montréal. In 2001 she joined the Sub communications team as a designer and, for certain projects, as the creative director. She combines great technical skill with a love of experimentation, particularly in typography and illustration. She recently completed Subinter, a new font set from Sub. Currently she is designing a new, made-to-order font for a Montreal newspaper.
